Stefan von Reiche

Stefan von Reiche is a contemporary artist, photographer and writer with a Bachelor of
Arts in Sociology from the University of Auckland New Zealand. Past exhibitions include,
the Ward Nasse Gallery, Soho New York and The Archetype Gallery, Sydney. Other
exhibitions have been held in Samoa, American Samoa and New Zealand. A former
co-ordinator of a group workshop for Contemporary Indigenous Artists at the 7th South
Pacific Festival of Arts, at the MADD Gallery, Samoa. He has represented Samoa, in a
group forum/workshop for Contemporary Indigenous Artists of Oceania & the Pacific,
Rotorua, New Zealand. As a writer, Stefan has a published article in the 1997 edition of
Art Asia Pacific, -titled 'Back to Basics'.
Stefan works in all mediums fusing contemporary with his traditional roots. He is the co-founder of The Archetype Gallery
and is the Director of the Ata Photography studio.
